Board Certified Physician Assistant that practices medicine in collaboration with Dr. Granese. Lisa received her Masters of Health Science and Physician Assistant degree from Duke University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego.
Lisa has experience with inpatient and emergency room psychiatric consulting, chemical dependency, dual diagnosis treatment facilities and outpatient private practice. Prior to finding her passion in Psychiatry, she has had previous experience in Neurosurgery, Oncologic surgery and Gastroenterology. She enjoys educating patients on the Gut – Brain connection along with mindfulness and through this, she is able to incorporate a more holistic approach to mental health. She is a firm believer of integrating the mind, body and spirit.
During your consultation with Lisa, she will obtain a full psychiatric evaluation and medical history, provide diagnosis and treatment plan; which may include ordering laboratory tests, incorporating psychotherapy and / or psychotropic medications. In addition, Lisa also provides Health and Wellness Coaching and is passionate about providing and encouraging overall life balance to all of her behavioral health patients.
